Biography

Spanish heavy metal band Sutra got involved in Zaragoza's scene when the group made its live debut at a local bar on December 5, 1992. In June of 1994, the five-piece act released its first EP called Vientos de Guerra, produced by Juan Miguel Sánchez. After original member José Aisa left the band, guitarist David Vela joined in. Sutra's first album called Nuevos Tiempos was recorded in 1997 and presented live at Zaragoza's Sala Z in October of 1998, followed by 2000's Whiskey, Hielo y Sin Rock & Roll. That same year José Lasala became Sutra's new guitarist.
